I've just finished re-reading the manga and I saw nothing of that sorts mentioned. There's one or two scenes when the author forgot to give her differently colored eyes in some panels (or when they're too small to see the difference) so for now it's an error.

What do you mean? it's mentioned/shown that her eyes are normally blue but she wears a red contact lens to imitate that anime she likes.
