to be fair, in most anime (that i've seen) characters with animal ears have human ears too, even in Kemono Friends where actual animals got turned into Human shaped beings. Umamusume stood out to me for only having Horse ears but still animators sometimes forget about that which is still easy to fix.

This however (depending on how many Plushes were already made) could get a bit more expensive to fix...
