It boggles my mind that anyone other than megacorporations, their executives and their mouthpieces has the slightest enthusiasm for AI at this point. SCP-1004: Factory Porn is basically a reality. Everyone who is concerned that maybe that isn't a good thing, is powerless to do anything, and anyone who might have the power to do something is either, A: blithely oblivious, or B: has concerns which are completely eclipsed by the opportunity (real or imagined) to increase their individual, personal wealth.
