This was tagged as AI five minutes ago and still is tagged AI on Pixiv. Why was the tag removed here?

We don't go off of Pixiv tags, we go off of what the image looks like. People on Pixiv sometimes add (or do not add) tags representative of how the image was created, and AI-assisted is a Danbooru tag that was carried into Pixiv. I recently assetted an album with lineart and I don't see any artifacts.

AI-assisted is on the older posts because they said they used it experimentally for those posts. If they are still using it then it should be proven (with tagging fixed not just for the few here and there but for every applicable post). Though even that I'm dubious of if that's for real or just a misunderstanding from the translation.

In that case, we might have to get someone who can read Chinese to translate the commentary. I can only read Japanese, but I think that first line says "I used AI to make a picture quickly."

Yeah, now that I check it again, that seems to be roughly what it says. I think that they do draw by hand but once in a while they use AI (their own work or otherwise?). I'm going to readd the tag for now. I just want to avoid us wielding tags and being too accusatory if there's no basis for it.

The artist was the one that tagged it AI-assisted. That's as much a confirmation of it being made with AI as anything the commentary says. This really doesn't strike me as a "tagging yuri on a completely sfw Scarlet sisters image" situation, where the pixiv tags are entirely irrelevant.

That's because it can go either way. An artist can tag it as "ai-assisted" and it could instead qualify for AI-generated. I've also previously had a work flagged as AI merely because the Pixiv work was tagged with it but it was actually mixed media with 3D elements, not AI. The image counts. The tags may provide context but aren't a hard confirmation of anything, the same way a lack of them doesn't matter to us in determining when to tag (or flag) posts.
