So... Are we all in agreement that if Pomni or one of the others hit the blue button and weren't released from TADC, they would've reached their breaking point? Being, instead, told that it wasn't real while everyone lashed out at Caine kept them grounded.

For sure. Saw a video and I think even fanart that had they went to Shrimp Town, all but Kinger would abstract on the spot. Whether intentionally or not, Jax saved them.
