That's actually canon Yuyuko. She just makes herself out to be so incredibly cryptic or obfuscates everything she does with silliness that nobody really understands what she's doing until after the plot is resolved, and can view it all with hindsight. (Which also drives poor Youmu nuts because she can't interpret why Yuyuko keeps doing unpredictable and seemingly insane things while periodically attacking her for no discernible reason.)

The rest of the stuff about Yuyuko just being an actually insane goofball or big eater/eater of worlds are all just fanon re-interpretations of her inscrutability.

Of course, some things, like whether or not she actually ate Mystia in IN, really are just Yuyuko being a jackass.

Anyway, yes, this is the obvious step in the plan to get Youmu to release even MORE "true potential". The whole point of this noise (besides getting a freakishly large amount of Youmu fanservice in the bath) was to get Youmu to have to respond seriously to Sakuya's time manipulation to learn how to use her techniques as Youki does.

The way I see it is, she can spray them all over the place and they can beat fairies, snow ladies, shikigamis, magicians, ghosts, lunarians, shrine maidens, vampires, oni, celestials, all sorts of fauna-based youkai, were-beasts, immortals and the Yama. I'm not sure if it's specifically stated, but they've worked on everything she's thrown them at so far.

It counts because it's danmaku, and in a danmaku duel, a hit's a hit. It doesn't matter if you're hitting them with knives or nuclear fire or rain droplets or rice dumplings or harmless little light sparkles. They all count as getting hit under Spell Card rules.

Well being this isn't a Duel. It should be a Ping-Pong Match. I don't think throwing a billion knives at a ghost would work.......but may get Youmu in the mood to take things seriously

Well, presuming they did work (and there's no reason to believe they wouldn't be able to cut her), it wouldn't matter outside of spellcard rules, since Yuyuko is beyond the cycle of reincarnation and completely immortal. So the worst would be she'd get annoyed...

Not that this shouldn't stop Youmu from diving to save her, because Yuyuko would probably take out her annoyance on Youmu in cruel and creative ways.

So far, no matter how serious the situation may be, there's always one thing in at least one of the panels that makes me laugh. I'm thinking Misty-D's.

Actually, wasn't it stated in the SWR storyline dialogue that Sakuya's knives could not penetrate Tenshi's skin?
