The comments that tend to get upvoted typically put in more effort than just posting "It's great" or "It sucks." And you don't have to comment on it; just looking at the post is appreciation enough.

Because you shotgun multiple comments at once and clog the feed with bumps. You're getting buried for acting like a spammer. Hit "no bump" on your comments and watch the downvotes disappear as you no longer end up in everyone's face.

What...? That's what that little thing was for? Well, thanks for telling me, I thought it just meant some archaic nonsense relevant to a feature I never used...well, now that I know that I guess I can flip it on...ehh, I don't regret not doing it but you'd think there'd be something that let you know what it was for...oh well :/
