All because of the "West-Facing Samurai" mnemonic
"nishimuku samurai" is the mnemonic used for remembering which months don't have 31 days: February ("ni"), April ("shi"), June ("mu"), September ("ku"), and November ("samurai"). "Samurai" is the only one that bears no direct relation to the number of the month it's supposed to represent.
