How does tagging guitars on Danbooru work? I've seen posts where non-Fender stratocasters and telecasters are called Fenders anyways like this one, but I've also seen posts where the non-Fender models are not tagged as a Fender
I believe it's mostly settled on just tagging the original for clones. This is mostly for practical reasons though, as having a million tags for telecaster clones isn't useful, and many artists aren't instrument nerds so they will either get identifying features wrong or just not draw things in enough detail for us to be able to make the distinction.
Not being instrument nerds also goes for our users too though. Most will just see "a guitar" and think nothing more of it. Instrument tagging is pretty niche as a concept, so feel free to add the relevant model tags when you see them.
