Along the winding, crystal-clear river that keeps moving steadily forward, he only hopes the time spent here could slow down a little.
After crossing the quiver trees scattered across the red-sand plains and taking in the raw air of the southern frontier, the two of them wind down at camp when the day's survey comes to an end.
Snow settles along the canal, vintage gas lamps shining against old warehouses, and with someone who simply understands him beside him, winter doesn't feel nearly as long.
