Okay, I am all for punishing evildoer. But at a point, it just becomes unnecessarily cruel.

Edit. Can someone explain to me how using a spoon to gradually scoop out someone's brain while they are still aware isn't overly cruel?
This isn't like where someone gets shot in the head and their brain gets all wrangled into a mess. This would be gradual loss of self as piece-by-piece of yourself would be scooped out until your brain could no longer function.
