It seems the official name is actually the "Japan International Exposition", not the "World Fair".

That aside though, when you say "Expo" you think "Nadia".

Compared to the flying cars from the flight demonstration, Jean's airplane might have been superior.

I can't wait for a world where you can just casually take a drive in the sky.

The connection here is that Fushigi no Umi no Nadia begins at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris, which, like Expo2025 in Osaka is considered to be in the sequence of "World's Fairs".
