Exhausted, Meiki slumps further, her mana spent. She murmurs, “Home…” and with a faint gesture, opens a shimmering portal. Through it step Reika and Yukine—Reika with her ornate fan, Yukine with her katana drawn. Reika lifts Meiki gently into her arms, the crimson ribbon trailing behind.

“Sweet little one,” Reika soothes, her voice warm, “out of mana again…” Yukine stands guard, her icy gaze scanning the wasteland. With a swift motion, she sheathes her blade and seals the portal with a burst of frost, cutting off any lingering threat.

The battle fades, and Reika carries Meiki homeward, Yukine at her side, their steps steady under the crimson moon. Reika murmurs with a faint smile, “…Well fought, my sleepy warrior.”
