<small>The reading of "purple" as "yukari" originated from a poem about the beauty of the purple gromwell flower and its color. From there, the beautiful purple color, which seems to transfer color upon touch, came to be likened to the bonds between people, and thus read as "yukari."
(It's so fitting for Yukari-chan of Gensokyo, who connects people...)
