Normal members cannot even see deleted posts, so they are unable to be appealed with that function.

They can still go to the page of the deleted post, and click the size link to see it, right? Or has that been changed recently?

Ah, didn't know you could do that.
I had thought this thread was for properly bringing the appeal to attention somehow (to reduce lazy appealing of every deleted post), since the instructions for appealing mostly direct you to post here, but I take it only one of the two methods is needed?
