Hello,
I'm a French-canadian person and I'm sure Danbooru have anothers French members.
I know some French people have a bad English, so I've got an idea: Why not have a French Danbooru? I think its can be a good thing for French people like me. If you are French and you love this idea, just post here!

There are also users who speak spanish, finnish, russian or whatever other language AND are bad in english. Would you expect danbooru to create language packs for every other nation, if you were speaking any of them simply because your english is bad?
And how would that be supposed to work with the tags? Aliases wouldn't be enough, and I don't think there's a way to set tags to respective languages.

While I do find this idea good, I just don't see how it'd even work. Just imagine the sheer number of tags that each language would create, that'd exist in one language and not in others, especially when some english words don't even exist in french and have no equivalent.
What is more, nothing prevents you from making your own, translated danbooru for french people.
It is impractical, but being the crazy dreamer that I am, I had thoughts on what it would take to make tagging and translation mulch-lingual. I wouldn't expect Albert to set it up, and very few languages would have enough support to make it work, but it'd be an interesting idea to click a flag and see content switch language, like you'd see on Wikipedia. It'd also produce nice parallel corpora for translators and language learners. But yeah, definitely a pie-in-the-sky idea, I think.
Sankaku Complex actually modified their danbooru to have english/japanese versions of each tag. It's interesting.
I'm in NB so I understand your buddies wanting to read the site. It's a nice thought, but even if it were possible on a technical end (without major overhauls) every new tag, pool and wiki would need updated and they'd want it updated quickly. We'd need multilingual mods and multilingual versions of all the FAQs and rules too. And just how many users find the site unusable as-is? Likely very few, since many of us use sites like pixiv without knowing japanese.
It's clunky, but using a page translator site or software is their best bet right now. With pixiv I find about 50% of the tags make no sense when machine-translated but luckily Danbooru has much stricter tagging sense. So it'd be far more efficient to just go with machine translation or to make it yourselves. boîteencarton.donmai.ca doesn't sound too bad.
Well there is a difference in what one can expect for this site in the foreseeable future, and what one could develop in general. While I'm not sure it would work without a lot of committed users in each language (with enough proficiency in English or Japanese to do the translations), which might be a long shot, conceptually the idea wouldn't be infeasible.

Speaking of translated tags, maybe the English names could serve as placeholders for the ones to be translated in the future?
In theory, a Portuguese speaker (I mean, a Portuguese reader - someone who reads Danbooru in Portuguese) could see a list of tags like this:
? + - 2garotas
? + - cabelo_curto
? + - cabelo_moreno
? + - camiseta
? + - saia
? + - shoes (English)
? + - socks (English)
And, eventually, someone could translate the last tags as "sapatos" and "meias".
As long as you can track the history of translation changes per tag, you've got a nice idea in theory, but I can't see this ever getting official Danbooru support.
The best you can hope for is a userscript in the style of Pixiv Translation Plus, which lets you add your own translations of Pixiv tags. You'd only have the translations you added yourself, though. I don't think storing a master list of translations for a given language in something like a Danbooru wiki page would really work out that well.
