I flagged the image for deletion. I'm not sure how the banned artists list works, so if someone could please add the artist to that list I would appreciate it.
I have taken care of this sort of thing in the past, but since the last nerfing of mod's capabilities, I can't delete anything anymore. We'll have to wait for either Albert or jxh2154 to log in again.
EDIT: Never mind I think it was already deleted when I got to it, I had though it was only flagged. We'll still need an admin to set up the alias to banned_artist.

Only admins can ban artists? Looks like about:accounts is outdated.

It is. At the very least, double deletion is no longer possible for mods. If banning artists is possible, I'm not sure what needs done to do it. Also outdated on the list, mods can invite, but Janitors no longer can.

Because they're the only people that can do anything about it. Besides, we've been getting a lot of ban requests from supposed artists sending dmails indiscriminately to anyone and everyone, and there's no way for us to know if the request is legit or from a troll or one of the artist's fanboy goons.
regarding mails from supposedly original authors, i would propose a slight modification in the post pages. i would assume uploaders are contacted directly because their usernames are located after the word "by" in the statistics panel and no link to reach the admins. EDIT: to reach admins, there should be a "Report this post" link, i guess.
for someone unfamiliar with this site or with limited english understanding, it gives a very bad impression someone claiming ownership of another's work because of the word "by". i propose we use the artist tag instead of the uploader; so that clicking it will direct them to the artist db and the artist's links. links are understandable even by non-native english speakers. and maybe the japanese disclaimer too should be included.
for unknown artists, maybe just use the source url, or remove the "by $danbooruUser" in the post page entirely, or we can place the uploader's name below "Favorited by" using neutral words like "Shared by".

Ehm, that's exactly was my point. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. Anyway, unless tottsuaaan confirms his removal request by contacting admin personaly his pictures shouldn't be deleted, nor even flagged... right?
Should someone else try getting back in contact with tottsuaaan, maybe? If it helps, this is the account they sent me the PM from. http://danbooru.donmai.us/user/show/378578
I told them I would try my best to see if the situation can be resolved but they haven't responded back.
