New Pixiv error messages

Posted under General

I've seen the suspended account error (該当ユーザーのアカウントは停止されています) and the deleted image error (該当作品は削除されたか、存在しない作品IDです), but now I've run two new errors, and I don't know what they mean. Anybody have a clue?

I think Gekka's using a MyPick function, which is similar to a "Show Only to My Friends" function in some other sites, such as YouTube. That means that to view the pic which is set to MyPick, you have to be one of his "friends" first. That's how I interpret what you had described above.

Is anyone Pixiv friends with any of these artists? I'm curious to see how the image URLs are structured for MyPick posts. I tried to download http://img03.pixiv.net/img/milkp/1511298.jpg directly* but it returns a 404 now, so it looks like the URLs for MyPick posts are not the same as for regular posts. If the new URLs follow a predictable pattern then it should be possible to get around this MyPick crap and download the images directly.

[*] You'll need to spoof the HTTP Referer to get around Pixiv's anti-hotlinking protection to do this, otherwise you'll just get a 403 Forbidden error.

Not sure if you've figured this out already but I might as well post anyways. Sorry for the necrobump.

It seems like the direct links to an image under MyPick/MyPixiv has a set of random numbers and letters generated and added to the link.

For example:
http://img13.pixiv.net/img/-/14888243_02b50826d0.png
http://img13.pixiv.net/img/-/14888386_bcf3e09313.png

And so on. Thumbnails (_s and _m) will have the same numbers and letters applied (http://img13.pixiv.net/img/-/14888386_bcf3e09313_m.png, etc.)

Seems to me like it'll be pretty much impossible to get around this without being added into the artist's MyPick.

Don't always rely on google translate, i suggest if you're using firefox, to install the addon rikaichan, so even though you don't read japanese, you can have the translation of a few words, then correlates with google's translation if possible.

公開制限エラーです。

This basically means that the work is not opened to the public, and thus created an error.

I wonder what the difference is between that and "該当作品の公開レベルにより閲覧できません。" (above), then.

It seems to be the same kind of error, changing the pixiv mode to medium returns the "Can not be viewed by the appropriate exposure level of the work." error.
