Current wiki for girl_sandwich says "Situation where a person is flanked between two amiable girls. The gender of the person in the middle does not matter." But the tag has really only been used for a girl in the middle of two girls. I checked over a few pages of images and didn't see guys and neither does girl_sandwich 1boy turn up any images. Perhaps the wiki should be changed to avoid confusion? I think it's more useful focused on girls anyway.

Really? I don't see how arbitrarily limiting the tag without a specific reason would be helpful or make sense.
I can easily imagine situations where a guy between two girls would fit the phrase "girl sandwich" perfectly.

I know that. I was just presenting an initial observation, and didn't intend that to be absolute (I did say I looked over a "few pages" and not "all").
Images with guys just seem to be very rare in the tag currently, when I wouldn't think it would be the case if they are supposedly allowed.
Anyway, if we are being inclusive with the tag, then girl/boy counter tags are a must, as that makes it easier to narrow them down. It's harder to do when there are more than three characters in an image, though (that's rare too, though).

Or they're just rare period. It's hard to tag images that don't exist after all. The fact that it's a pretty obscure tag probably contributes as well.
As an aside, as per how we'd like to define this tag, should something like post #1145535 count? I was thinking "Haruka Sandwich" when this scene occurred, but though they are in close proximity, they aren't all in actual direct contact as is the case with almost everything currently tagged.
