Tag Implication: ass_mousepad -> mousepad

Posted under General

while discussing mousepad, do you think creating a separate tag for those breast_mousepad and visible mousepad in a picture would be a good idea/necessary?
since most of the pictures under mousepad are just cuts of breast/ass/crotch mousepads

We do have a precedent for doing *_(object) tags for situations like this (dakimakura being the most relevant example), so, sure.

I'm guessing that the tag should be mousepad_(object) if it's generally agreed to.
I'm suggesting this, because there are about 12 pages of mousepad pages, yet only about 7 images got an actual mousepad.
If that tag were to be created, I think mousepad should be turned into an umbrella tag so we can know what different kinds of mousepad exists.

I was initially going to question the necessity of a mousepad_(object) tag, but I guess there is use for it to distinguish one of these breast mousepads that are objects in the image. The <part>_mousepad -> mousepad implications do not distinguish between whether the image is a mousepad or the mousepad is somewhere in the image, so unless the implications were reworked (though my next suggestion will ask for that anyway), the mousepad tag has already become an umbrella tag for any depiction of a mousepad. This means that another tag, such as mousepad_(object) will be necessary to subdivide the mousepad tag between mousepads as objects and mousepads as images.

We might also want to create a generic wrist-rest_mousepad tag to cover all mousepads that have the wrist cushioning feature. Right now this style of mouse pad is restricted to specific names, and those that don't quite match are either unidentified from regular mousepads (post #576677) or placed under one of the specifically named ones ("breast_mousepad:" post #831779 and post #1044952). Additionally, the "breast" shaped padding isn't the only style padding possible (post #483829).
This new tag would probably require the implications to be changed to:

In general I would call it an ergonomic mousepad, though the "cleavage" isn't really typical of them in a general sense. Though on the other hand I don't know I've seen one in actual use for the last decade or so since optical mice became common.
