While trying to figure out who the character in post #10069054 was, I ended up finding post #12037, which is the same art (in a different quality) in a 20 year old post from a different artist. These two artists are the same person, though.

Yes but resolved at forum #394145 due to wrong direction. I had to check their profile and signature for further information.

Someone created a duplicate of the artist using his "stacc name". What should be done in this situation? Should an alias be created, or can it simply be deleted?

This can just be deleted considering when it was made. If it was a tag from a while ago or had posts on it then it should be aliased. To be on the safe side, I just recommend submitting a BUR in similar cases to get it fixed to the right name.

forum #385121 was autorejected, could use a second look for approval. yuta agc has pixel-perfect duplicates and archives of their Tumblr account on their Pixiv as well as their alternate Pixiv account linking one of the newer (but inactive) handles for their Tumblr.

Artist tags should generally be the name that's currently most commonly used by the artist.
