First of all, please note that my English is poor.

Historical Link: The older alias shouga (hiramememe) is directly linked to the tairame name via its Twitter handle, @taira_mme, which also features the cover of his signature work Hatsukoi Engage, published under the Tairame name.

Thematic Link: The artist's aliases are consistently themed around flatfish. Tairame comes from the Japanese word 平目 (Hirame/flounder), while Karei means 'plaice'. The alias used for tairame on Danbooru, shouga (hiramememe), also contains the name 'hirame'. Karei's current Twitter handle, @flat_fish_, explicitly confirms this intentional theme.

Supporting Evidence: A Google search for タイラメ (Tairame in Katakana) also leads directly to results for Karei's Pixiv.
