post uploaded other than the artist's url

i ran into post #1075376 and i have doubts of doing my action in correcting the source url. the uploader got the image from tumblr. the (landing page) site was already down but the direct link to the image server is still online and accessible. a few days later, the pixiv artist and original post was identified. the source was corrected based on the pixiv address. however the resolution, hash signature, and quality don't match obviously. is this all right and be marked as md5_mismatch? or the tumblr source should be the correct one? looking for some guidance. thanks.

The source should only be set to the pixiv image if it's the exact same image down to the md5, otherwise when someone tries to upload it they will get warned that the image is already uploaded even though that exact image isn't actually up. There's nothing wrong with an amazonaws source as long as the artist is the one who uploaded it there.

Also, you can add a comment including an alternative source instead of editing the post if the image is the same.
