Hey. A huge part of Danboorus pictures are touhou pictures. I'm sure that for many people, like me, who don't have any interest in touhou, the pictures are quite an annoyance. Of course you can blacklist them but then you'll often find blank post-pages because all the images(touhou ones) are not shown. Also, half of the popular pictures are also not shown - because half are touhou. I think a seperate part for those pictures wouldn't be bad and touhou-fans could look there. I doubt this suggestion has any chance since it's rather "big" considering how big danbooru is, and it'd be even smaller if I added a section for vocaloid pictures so I'm not but I thought I'd give it a try anyways.
kyaaa, try adding -touhou to your search strings, and make this your common searching habit. If you need to be able to search for more than two tags at a time, including that one, there's always the one-time US$20 fee to upgrade your account to Priveleged.
If, hypothetically, we were to make such a sweeping change to Danbooru, there would be no end in sight to how many times it would have to be done. After all, who's to say someone doesn't feel the same about Vocaloid as you do about Touhou? Or Idolmaster? Or (repeat cycle until every series tag is segregated into a new chunk of the server).
Also, that would play merry hell on any crossover-themed pics.

Wouldn't that kind of segregation also bring hell onto the server itself?

This, or you can place touhou to your personal Blacklist found in your user settings. That way, you won't have to see any of it. (Outsponded)
And I do agree that sectioning off all Touhou material or all posts from any one copyright onto a completely separate Danbooru would do more harm than good.
Touhou is extremely popular here, which leads to the vast majority of its uploaded posts being of fairly average quality. But it's not a dire situation, and certainly not one that needs a heavy-handed solution like this.

The OP already mentioned the use of blacklists. His point was that even though you could blacklist Touhou posts, it would cause many pages on the site to have few-or-blank posts displayed, because of the tag's prolific use.
To me, this is a legitimate concern. However, segregating the site is not practical, nor is it a solution.

According to the source code, that script does support the blacklist. Of course, if the page results contain a lot of blacklisted posts, the script will have to perform several loads in succession.
