Anatomy

Buti have a general question of the topic I’m bringing up. How important is anatomy actually?

But going through post to post there are plenty of art with “bad anatomy” but end of the day artists are that artist not anatomy experts. Especially nsfw artists and their obviously impossible body structure.

End of the day this forum is just to ask in general is anatomy that important and worth flagging across danbooru. IMO I’d say no unless it’s obviously extreme but besides that I don’t think so. Again I don’t know if this is something that’s common or not.

Good artists are definitely good at anatomy and have to know a fair amount about it. It's one of the fundamentals of drawing people.

Anyway you'll probably get locked posting outside of the deleted upload containment thread. You post hasn't actually been deleted yet anyway, it's only pending, only been back in the queue for 3 hours, so just wait a bit. All it means so far is one person of any user level thought it wasn't a good picture and was willing to spend some upload slots to voice that. Nothing to get upset about. Someone might approve it again.

I could hazard a guess at why it got flagged for anatomy, but normally only Approvers are really encouraged to do that. I do think that's a bit of a problem though because there's only so many of them, they only have so much time to give, and as a result almost no one in that upload feedback thread actually gets... feedback on their uploads. I know they take another look and manually approve stuff they think is good, and I get that non-Approvers can and have given useless or counterproductive advice, but maybe if people learnt what they were doing wrong they'd upload less bad art and the approvers would overall reduce the amount of time they have to spend on approving because the uploads would be higher quality and pre-thinned by the more informed uploaders, but maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Again the forum is not to bring topic to me but the aspect of ‘how important is anatomy’ in regards to artist.

To add to my original point and to part of what you saidz “good artists are definitely good at anatomy” which isn’t exactly true.

There are plenty of “good artists” with “bad anatomy” because that’s not entirely true like at all. Firstly “good artist” what is your range of a “good artist” is it popularity or what you consider “art” then is that “art” anime style, realistic or unique.

Speaking on unique there are plenty or artists who’s art style and “anatomy” don’t exactly mesh well. Is that then bad art to you because it’s bad anatomy.

These are the things I’m talking about so please stay on topic and don’t assume

Formatting your complaint about approvals into an awkwardly-worded "general question" as a way of trying to get out of posting in the upload feedback topic and call special attention to your circumstances for yet a third time is no good either. I don't know why you would think I wouldn't catch on. This is just you complaining about having different quality standards to approvers and trying to rally empathy for getting flagged. That flag should be more than enough as an answer or a springboard to search for other similar flags and figure out that the site doesn't like posts where the anatomy is out of whack.

Don't create another one of these anywhere on the site whether it's on the forum or a comments section unless you want to prove to me that all my previous messages are too difficult to understand and I need to convey it in a clearer manner. Make it a real question and not a veiled complaint about approval. I'm talking about things like topic #36182 (asking if it's okay to upload ads), topic #36052 (on the subject of stitched asset fragments) or topic #36432 (questions about restrictions on game cgs). These are actual general questions about acceptability, not echochambers to argue about having different (lower) quality standards than what gets approved.
