Tag subscriptions on members

Posted under General

Yes.

I thought so far that tag subscriptions were exclusive to privileged+ users, yet I just noticed it was actually available in my settings.
Gave it a try and, w00t, no results. That's mean.

I'll suppose albert couldn't be bored to hide this feature to regular members but, by any chance, could that be some sort of bug or ongoing update?

I use what I consider "welfare" tag subscriptions. I have the visibility set to hidden because I wouldn't want them to appear under my favorites anyway (feel it adds too much clutter and forces me to scroll down), so I have them set only as a means to give me one-click access to the tags I care about the most without having to manually type them into the search box every time.

Certainly not the intended use, but it serves me well.

As I found out a while ago, in short, basic users can only set up subscriptions. That's it. You can't use subscription groups to browse nor will you ever see them on your page, unlike upgraded users. They're only there for reference, although you can see and browse any upgraded user's public subscriptions. I doubt it's a bug, oversight, or intended update.
