ItsuhamaArt: past AI use and current work

Hello, I’m MikoLukoz.

Some of you know I’ve been uploading ItsuhamaArt here. I just want to explain why.

Yes, he used AI before. That part is true—I’m not denying it. But that was before. Around 2025, he stopped and started focusing on actually learning how to draw.

I know this because I’m his college friend. I’ve seen him practice, struggle, and improve little by little. He’s trying to draw his own stuff now, especially doujinshi.

There’s even a recent timelapse from ibisPaint showing him drawing, plus sketches, studies, and traditional work. You can also see he’s still struggling with things like hands and coloring muscle anatomy.

His inspiration comes from people like PewDiePie (the 300-day drawing challenge really motivated him), and artists like Makoto Shinkai, Mengo Yokoyari and Syukurin from Mitsuha Netorare. So yeah, his style looks “anime-like,” but that’s because he’s still figuring out his own style.

He even spends his own money on guidebooks and doujinshi just to study. He’s not perfect but he’s still an amateur and he’s putting in real effort now.

I’m not saying just accept everything. It’s fine to check and review. I just think his current works should be judged based on how they’re made now, not only on his past.

That’s all. Thanks for reading.
