Why is post:11091497 flagged as md5_mismatch?

Posted under General

I have written a small script to compare the md5 hash of both the Danbooru image and the source image.
The Danbooru image
And the source with the image

Now my script gives me the hash 10e33e614ee216fff6dbc6bf61c5be7f for both images.

My question is, should I remove the md5_mismatch in this and similar cases or is there another reason for the mismatch flag?

I'll apologize in case I missed a wiki entry where this is covered, I am a first time contributer.

It's a mistag that came from the uploader blindly copying the tags from the parent post and not removing the md5 mismatch tag.

If you're confident that your bot is able to identify MD5 mismatches correctly, then feel free to add or remove the tag yourself, or have your bot do it. Just be careful and make sure it's working correctly before deploying it on large scale.
