Slow loading?

My location is in Canada and when I try loading any page related to danbooru it takes a long time (~30s).Pages start loading quickly again if I enable a VPN.

Im in the US and it’s also taking like a minute to load anything or even do stuff like upvote art on this website. Didn’t know about the VPN thing though, I’ll try that, thanks.

I believe this is being experienced by many people to some degree currently.

Ok, I can confirm that using a VPN makes everything load instantly again. I don’t know why, but that is slightly concerning to me.

I was using VPNs to connect to US locations but that seemed to stop working as well, I tried different locations and it worked again. I'm also not sure if it's because I have a ton of NSFW tags blacklisted.

In the US, it's also been slow-loading for me all day. So like, at least 12 hours or so probably? My load times are closer to like 15 seconds I'd say, but it's slower when I'm submitting changes to artist entries & forum posts &c. I've just kind of assumed that danbooru's having one of those days and that a conversation is more actively happening regarding it in the discord I'm not interested in joining.

Okay, so it wan't just me yesterday. I remember hitting a database error just trying to get to the login page. (If it matters, I'm also in the US - specifically, the southwestern Great Lakes.)

Pitching in. Also got slowdown with Danbooru around this morning my time. And I'm in Asia just to put your things into perspective.

I was also getting slow loading (almost 20 seconds when I measured it one time) earlier, around 00:00~03:00 UTC today. I'm in Australia, by the way.

Japan, today I've had occasional slowbooru but it only lasted a minute or so every time, nothing to make the site unsuable like some people seem to be experiencing.

Not just slow loading, the site has been shitting itself several times every day to me, with database errors that stop any content from being loaded, lasting a minute or so.

In the US. I've been noticing a lot more database errors in recent weeks.

Honestly prefer the database errors for a minute or two over the aforementioned slow loading that was happening 3 days ago. But there has been a noticeable uptick in downtime over the last few weeks for sure.

I've also experienced slow loading times (mostly from the cdn trying to load images to the front-facing db site) around afternoons or evenings. Note that this is East/Southeast Asia time and last month, the worst cases were slow loading from 11 AM to 11 PM straight.

As for the database errors, they're around at least 3 times a day nowadays from my observation.

since I cant find any other forum posts relating to this, I've been experiencing some loading issues, located in SEA GMT+8

and like others that mentioned here, turning on a VPN (HK or SG VPN location) fixes the loading issues.

not sure why this is happening right now, but I think it's been over 2 weeks now that I've experienced the slowdowns

You're not the only one. Not just this but sites associated with Cloudflare are also affected. Have experienced this problem with two ISPs.
