Tried uploading https://vk.com/wall-205153494_5940, I get the error "Upload failed: https://pp.userapi.com/s/v1/ig2/tPy1Gu7EDrJacxZeQNldgfkCQ6Iktc4T4j3rOa-5ghunjMzjwyIkT8VfhdE3GDM106IT3Ts8MuKG-hR7i9h5ebWd.jpg failed with code 404 Not Found."
I don't use VK much so I'm not sure if this is an issue with this specific post/user or the site as a whole.
The page itself is an HTTP 404. On the other hand, what does work is https://sun9-48.userapi.com/7WCRqyGqKej2PuvPRWQTW84t_lcTeXOiaxr3-g/jQjL61uvcTo.jpg (asset #25014698).
On unrelated note, there's also png alt with background at https://derpibooru.org/images/3466235
