GMask version of censored post - what to do?

Posted under General

(GMask is a computer program that masks images by scrambling pixels or applying filters that can be reversed to restore the original image. More information here)

For post #4808349 (explicit loli), the artist uploaded a second version with MEKO- mask applied. If unmasked, it is an uncensored version of the same image, without the mosaic censor on her pussy.
I think since it is a freely available superior version, albeit with extra steps, it should be uploaded. However I think it will be hard to get approved because while masked it is an inferior version of an already uploaded image.
I noticed we have a few images under removable censorship.

Inferior in what way?

If the original image can be losslessly obtained with the original program then yes, it's allowed. It wouldn't be decensored/third-party edit in that case, just uncensored, because it'd be the true original version the artist drew. It's the same logic that allows stitched scans to be uploaded.
uncensored and censored versions of the same pic can coexist at the same time, even if the uncensored version is of smaller resolution (unless it's 300x300 or something).

I meant, if I upload the second version as-is, with the masking applied, it is inferior. Do I understand correctly, would it be OK to remove the masking and upload the resulting uncensored version? Is there a tag I should use since it wouldn't be the unaltered file the artist uploaded?

Ah, I misunderstood you. Yes, upload the unmasked one. Seems that one specifically is a normal meko mask, quite easy to reverse with gmask since it's just a click, I just tested it myself.

If you plan to upload more than one it'd be helpful to have a meta tag for them, something like decrypted/descrambled? unmasked could easily be misunderstood as no mask.
