yande.re as a source

Isn't it just another image board? Most of the images that have it as a source seem to be scans, so wouldn't it be better to put them as source request instead, until proven to really be a scan? Also, is it possible or will be in the future to blacklist a source?

Yande.re is a booru for scans. Many (if not most) of the scans on yande.re are original scans by yande.re users. So it's a legitimate source insofar as it's where the scan originally came from.

It's not possible to blacklist a source now and it's unlikely to be added in the future. Instead you can blacklist scan if you don't want to see scans.

Even then, scans aren't portraying the image is they should. There are always artifacts, so it's already some kind of 3rd-party edit to begin with. If the scan is uploaded from exhentai or yande.re doesn't make any difference imo.

Agreed, scans also have a tendency to have incorrect colors (easy to see if/when artists upload digital copies).

Posts from Yande.re should use the tag third-party_source more often.

Unless I'm missing something, pretty much every single post with yande.re as source should have that tag.

Same for sites like exhentai, minitokyo, and any other booru-esque scan hosting site.

Agreed, suppose this should include every post with the scan tag.

However we do have some absolute pro uploaders that use non-web_source as the tag and just put a text only source in the field even though it is blatantly obvious they got it from another website.
