question - the bestiality confussion

Ok, well my uploads got deleted because they were picturing bestiality. Mind you, I only uploaded them because pictures of the set I tried to uploaded are already on this site (someone send me the full Zooerastia Sets and a few others), so I thought, what the heck, upload the complete sets.

Ok, now I don't got a problem with my stuff getting deleted - but if a few pictures of the sets I tried to upload are already online, along with LOTS of other beast stuff, I wonder - why do they getting rejected because of beastiality? Beastiality pics are getting uploaded regularly, so I don't think I have broken a rule here. I also grouped them and created a pool.

So, my question - what did I do wrong? If beastiality is not allowed (Rejected Reason: beastiality) why is getting constantly uploaded by others then? lol THis is confusing.

It's in the TOS (http://danbooru.donmai.us/static/terms_of_service) as a violation:

"Bestiality: Any photograph or photorealistic drawing or movie that depicts humans having sex (either explicit or implied) with other non-human animals."

But the wording can be considered vague. Photograph is clear, but photorealistic? The same statement applies to child pornography in the TOS.

Personally I'd remove any ambiguity and delete all bestiality if I could but the rule is a bit confusing. However, I also certainly wouldn't say it's getting "constantly uploaded" - you have to go back nearly two months just to fill one page of the bestiality tag. 100 images (5 pages) takes you back five and a half months. So not very much is being uploaded at all. Or if it is, it isn't being tagged, which is a big problem.

But it seems more like very little gets uploaded. It comes to around one every few days. Those are most likely from contributor users and don't get moderated. I see bestiality hitting the three day delete limit in the mod queue relatively often, so I doubt much is getting approved by mods/janitors in general (i.e. intentionally not being approved), and it's not just you.

It seems clear to me. Depictions of bestiality that are indistinguishable from a photograph are banned, while other depictions (ie, regular drawings) aren't banned.

Bestiality hentai doesn't bother me, personally. Honestly, I think a girl getting fucked by a dog is less disturbing than a girl getting raped by a horrible sea monster, yet it seems most danbooru users don't have a problem with tentacle rape.

If you're going to upload this kind of hardcore material, though, it helps if you only upload a few pics first to see what kind of reception they get. Some things, like futanari or loli or bukkake or the like, seem fairly popular here. Other things, bestiality being one, can freak people out and are likely to be downvoted and deleted, especially if you upload a bunch of it at once.

You should keep in mind that there are a lot of unwritten rules about what is acceptable content here. If something doesn't appeal to the mods/janitors it won't get approved, even if it technically doesn't break any rules.

Plenty of tentacle stuff dies in the mod queue, and thank goodness.

I am amazed at the sheer number of times OP misspelled "bestiality" (100%). If you want to make any sort of argument about it, at least learn to spell it correctly.

Also, 0xCCBA696, the moderator who deleted my upload misspelled it as well -> "beastiality". :P

I don't think that this is indistinguishable from a photograph (and to be honest, I found that picture of the girl sucking on a banana quite funny), but oh well. Honestly I am not that much into beast stuff myself, I just happen to have some sets, so I am not that sad about my bestiality uploads being rejected - I was just wondering why.

So I guess I was right, the bestiality pics are propably getting uploaded by people who's ups are not subjected to moderation.

Those just weren't good pictures period, bestiality aside.

Bottom line, bestiality hentai is acceptable on Danbooru, bad art isn't.

True true they are not that great. maybe they would have get accepted if they were as good as Yosinos art.

This is intentionally a gray area. A lot of bestiality drawings are bad, but ones like post #280361 I consider to be good so I don't want a hard ban.

However, Mokin, most of your uploads were bad and I'm not surprised they got deleted. They could just as well have been deleted for failing to meet a quality standard.

Some people request them on another website and I had my friend sent them to me so I could up them there. I thought they were passable enough to be uploaded to danbooru, but at a second glance, you may be right and they could be considered 'bad art' (I think they are passable, I've seen better ones tho).

Well it's okay now tho, if I upload another beast somewhere in the future pic I know that it has to be a really good one.
But I think I will stick to my "normal pic" uploads which are ofc good looking, and therefore, got approved.
