I DM'd the flagger about flag reasons, but that said:

I get that we've recently descended into caveman-tier dialectics for flag reasons, and I find it pretty annoying that "quality check" is basically equivalent with leaving the reason empty, and I really don't want to encourage this kind of behaviour, and I've considered submitting a pull request to allow admins to deny flags as invalid via danboorubot to discourage it, and all that, but frankly I don't think Lilo & Stitch toon porn is a hill worth dying on regarding flag reasons. I think this is one of those cases where it's obvious and undeniable why the post was flagged.

And what about this?

I am sure the only reason why the flagger didn't flag more with the same "caveman-tier dialet" reason is cuz they run out of uploads slots.

Thankfully, flags don't use upload slots. They use a different limit not displayed.

Please stop assuming every flag you disagree with is done out of malice. To be honest, a few of those I might've flagged myself. If someone is flagging maliciously, it tends to be unbelievably obvious.
This... is not obvious. A few images from a single artist and three different uploaders? That's almost certainly not malicious.

I was referring to the flag reason "quality check" which is the same than adding "no reason".

A picture being an objectively inferior version of another already existing one has a long history of being an accepted flag reason.

This changed quite a while ago. And if only pixel-perfect dupes were disallowed to flag, it would be seen in the window when you want to flag an image and not duplicate.

Agree with skylightcrystal. There's no point uploading a lower quality/lower resolution version of the exact same art that already existed on danbooru. Maybe the user's mistake was not seeing the "Similar Posts" note when uploading it. I doubt it would even be approved if it was in the qeue.

Doesn't really matter whether or not they should be uploaded. I agree it's not ideal to upload inferior versions after a better version is up, but our policy is to not flag/delete them. Otherwise we would go through and mass delete them.
