Maybe it should be an alias instead?
I don't see much value in keeping the tags so granular.

Liquor looks like a dump tag. We'd be better off tagging the actual liquor in question, whether it's whiskey, vodka, etc., than just dumping it in liquor.
I know I've used liquor when the bottles are clearly hard alcohol but we either can't identify the specific type or don't have a tag for it, like in post #2205320. But I completely understand wanting to prune umbrella tags. A alcohol -beer -wine -sake search may have to suffice.

My issue is people tagging liquor -- and nothing else. It gives people an excuse to be lazy, like the sake in post #4570418.
But you do have a point. Most artists just draw mystery bottles rather than something iconic like Jack Daniel's, though you can still tell it's liquor by their size and general shape.

I agree with you here, but I don't think that an alias will make people stop being lazy. If this alias were already in place, post #4570418 would have just been tagged alcohol.
