I think this BUR is pretty self-explanatory: implicate all meme tags with more than 10 pictures to the actual meme tag.

Ah. Well, shit. My apologies for not searching first.

But some of those threads bring up a good point; what's the point of the meme tag at all if it's so inconsistently applied? Like, I understand not bothering implicating low-usage memes, but for memes with literally hundreds of images, it seems like "half are tagged meme and half aren't" is worse from a janitorial perspective than a simple implication.

The two ways I could see it being a useful tag is either to implicate all memes to meme, which we refuse to do, or to write a clause and garden/enforce said clause about not tagging named memes with the generic meme tag, which would be an even bigger nightmare.

Thus, from what I can observe, we're going to leave the slightly festering sore of a tag as-is, as the only other option is nuking due to uselessness. But it's not useless. So it shall fester and hopefully stay at "slightly".

The other option is to make it like cosplay where tagname_(meme) automatically adds meme. I don't know if evazion wants more auto-tags like that, though. It also means we'd have to rename every meme to end in _(meme), if some don't.

Implicating every new meme to crop up will be a pain to do otherwise.
