Now that I've gone through and tagged the Sword of Dios where it appears, it makes sense to implicate the sword tag as well.

Named weapons don't usually imply their base weapon tag because it is possible for someone to draw the weapon as a different weapon while still remaining identifiable as the original entity. See topic #4520.

e.g. excalibur_(fate/stay_night), mjolnir_(marvel), sword of hisou

Another edge case is a partially off-screen weapon being identifiable by its hilt or handle or the presence of unique decorations like tassels, while simultaneously not being identifiable as a specific type of weapon (because the entire blade is off-screen, for example). Search-wise, a person searching for the named weapon will probably want to see handle-only examples too (particularly if the handle is unique), while a person searching for, say, sword probably doesn't want to see examples where the blade isn't even visible (moreso if the hilt doesn't look like a typical sword hilt).

The other major reason is that personification of weapons is not too uncommon. People like gijinkas and whatnot.
