Owl girls always have the same hairstyle that's different from generic bird girls so -1.

I know I'm the guy that's supposed to support anything birb related, but I really don't like granular animal girl tags. We've been trying to move away from them.
We don't have Raven or Crow Girl tags. We do have silly little tags like owl ears. I don't think we need them.
On the subject of owl 'ears'... odd that Miko doesn't get tagged with those despite artists sometimes drawing them the same.

Why not just edit the first post?
Because it's already downvoted heavily

That's a good point, that can also conflict with putting every single owl_ears post into owl_girl.

Owl girl, bird girl, and owl ears are all severely undertagged.

Probably because most character tagging is just blind copying from the related tags, so it mostly comes down to how the character gets tagged early on. That's why it's a meme to tag Serval with serval ears but not Miko with owl ears.
Technically Miko's aren't actually ears, they're just her hair, so i don't know if that counts for the tag. Animal ear-shaped hair?

Owl ears aren't ears either. Just feather or hair tufts that resemble other animal ears 'mounted on the top of the head'.
Though maybe it should be aliased to owl_ear_tufts or something if the potential ambiguity is a problem.

The implication going through does create a bit of conflict that I already cleaned up. Don't tag owl or bird girl on harpies, as it's padding. Snake girl is aliased to lamia and there's only one valid horse girl + centaur image. Just a warning.

How is someone supposed to search for specific kinds then?
post #3988540 is clearly an owl girl. It makes no sense to me that we can't tag it as owl girl just because it's a harpy.

Because owl girl now implicates bird girl, we shouldn't use it on harpy. We don't tag individual animal girls on specific monster girls. Otherwise, we'd be tagging every single mermaid as fish girl.
Well, we either live with it or we start creating owl harpy girl, which is just stupid.
It seems implying owl girl to bird girl wasn't a good decision after all.
We should apply here the same approach we have with shark girl: it doesn't imply neither mermaid or fish girl, because a shark girl can be both. In this case, an Owl girl can be either a harpy or a bird girl. That way, post #3988540 should be tagged as owl girl.
