create alias cranberry_(mahoiku) -> clamberry
Her name in Japanese is クラムベリー.
It's a pun of the series author's name, Endou Asari. Asari (浅蜊) means Manila clam. The official fanbook also has clam print pattern on the interview pages.

It's a pun between the English words clam and cranberry, which really doesn't work in English, so whatever you go with is going to be lacking.
Clamberry is closer to an accurate representation of the katakana, as you say, but Cranberry is how it's generally written in English (inc. official translations) and thus more likely to be what people search for. Plus the anime website's character page for her is http://mahoiku.jp/chara/cranberry.html
As a result I'm somewhat indifferent to which is used, but would lean slightly in favour of keeping it at Cranberry.
The tag alias cranberry_(mahoiku) -> clamberry (alias #14619) has been rejected.
