Motivators

We have accrued some motivators over the time. As most of them are about as funny as stomach flu, and of similar quality, I propose summarily deleting them, unless any particular ones deserve keeping for some special reason. If that is the case, please tag them with "to_be_kept", and outline your reasons in a comment. Afterwards, in a day or two, I will execute all the rest.

Isn't enough with no accepting new ones?
I mean there's only 63. Not that I care a lot about it though, there's already sites dedicated to that.

I just deleted two newly uploaded ones. Which prompted me to start this thread.

Only one I really care much about is post #57701, but I kinda agree with Shuugo, they don't really do any harm. Making a pool for those that should be deleted sounds better.

Making a pool would make sense if there were a few of them to be deleted. If all of them die by default, it makes more sense to pick out those to be spared.

And agreed about post #57701.

I third keeping what's already there (no point in deleting them) and just not accepting any new ones.

Nuke 'em all. Just get rid of the entire tag. It sets a bad precedent and if post #57701 is supposed to be the best one there is, then we can certainly do without.

(Perhaps for shits and giggles I'll try to find the shittiest one on the server, though! :D)

There's really no reason to keep them. They have absolutely no value, and are very easy to target, so no reason not to clean up the DB.

post #65419 is still one of my favourite motivators. The Black Night Yuki one is also good, but there are multiple variations of that one.

Some of them have extremely high scores and many favorites. You've been strongly against deleting images with lots of favorites and such in the past, so why is this different?

The only good argument for nuking all the old ones, instead of just banning new ones, is that people might see old ones and think it's okay to add new ones. And yet motivators are exceedingly rare lately. I can't remember the last time I saw one other than the couple just uploaded in the past few days.

Granted, if I had veto power over whatever decision is made (and I don't), I still wouldn't use it, because the decision either way does not affect me. I don't think I have any motivators favorited or saved, and don't think I've ever uploaded one. I just think that there are a lot of things not accepted now that we never cleared from the old uploads, so should we start now?

Hmm, point, I have neglected surveying them for score and favourites. I guess I shouldn't be interleaving my all-nighters with danbooru maintenance, both for danbooru and the work that caused me to pull an all-nighter sake.

They're all better than post #146057, which you insisted on keeping. You can't delete them after that precedent. Retreat into your cave.
