Tag alias: stare → staring (gerund preference)

See title.
stare → staring (gerund preference)

I wonder if we ought to make a shared thread for these since they are sort of common, usually don't produce any discussion, and result from a similar consistency rule as the singular/plural thread.

There's a small glaring tag already also. Might as well alias those two.

I think they're distinct concepts though I'm not sure how distinct they are for tagging purposes. And if we do alias, which way?

As for a dedicated thread, I guess that's okay. Same rules as the p>s thread with discussion in separate threads... like for this one.

Ah, I checked the definitions, I didn't remember there indeed was a difference.
Glaring would describe an angry look while staring would describe looking fixedly, regardless of the expression.
Current posts seem to be mixing those two as much as I did but that could be useful.
