"Sapphire is based on May, the female character from the video games. However, Sapphire's character is notably different from the other two versions of May, especially the animated version, in terms of personality and attitude."

So what? You can't see the personality on a pic and both look exactly the same (that isn't the case with red/ash for example).
Even though I prefer to alias haruka_(pokemon) to sapphire_(pokemon), I think we need only one tag for a character that's a clone from the other.
Let's say that the artist tag his pic has Arturia Pendragon, you're going to tag that image as saber, as arturia_pendragon, or both?
What's the point of having two different tags for the same character?
Is stupid to have half of the images with the sapphire_(pokemon) tag and the other half with haruka_(pokemon) when they look exactly the same.
Okay, bad example for my part but the point is the same.
Do we need a tag for this post #324201, and a different one for this post #368716 just because the artist said so?
They are the fucking same character. One from the manga/game and one from the anime.

They look quite different to me.
Can you correct the tags of all the haruka_(pokemon) and sapphire_(pokemon) images? Because I can't see the difference and seems like a lot of pics have both tags.
Why so hostile, FeKa? Yukkuri shiteitte ne!!!
As for the sapphire_(pokemon) and the haruka_(pokemon) tags, I suggest sapphire_(pokemon) be used when the character is present with other manga characters (such as yellow_(pokemon) or blue_(pokemon)), in her tribal leaf bikini (ex. post #344361), or when the picture shows a situation that is distinctly manga. Tag it haruka_(pokemon) for everything else. What do you think?

Do we have readily-available lists for which Pokemanz the split characters have? I know teh Wikiz has some listings, but eh.
Serebii has Bio pages for anime and manga characters.

You can't SERIOUSLY considering having them split. I can tell Red and Ash apart just fine, but none of the other characters have any graphical difference whatsoever. If the only way to differentiate them is by their surroundings, what is the point of having two tags in the first place? Sapphire is only distinguishable from Haruka when she's with Ruby or using the blue outfit, and even then you're overestimating the attention most posters will put into this, how many do you think will hunt for the telltale signs of it being one or the other, or even be aware such a difference exists?
FeKa's example was horrible, but the point remains: They look identical and keeping two tags would be a mess.
As far as I can tell - they just look the same: As do red_(pokemon) and satoshi_(pokemon) in some way.
When haruka_(pokemon) was a main character in the series, her clothing style were a kinda different from sapphire_(pokemon). So these posts are typical haruka_(pokemon) images:
post #343310 (costume from the tv show/movies)
post #343278 (costume from the tv show/movies)
post #343282 (costume from the tv show/movies)
post #300993 (usual appearance in the tv show/movies)
post #342007 (sapphire costume set, but also costume from the tv show as of diamond & pearl series)
btw... its more than 100 Episodes and three(?) movies for haruka - only er three cartridge games for sapphire. I think it would be wise to have a sapphire_(pokemon) alias to the haruka_(pokemon) tag.
