People believe twitter will go out due a lot of employees walk out and then Apple/Google threated to retire it the app from the store since Elon made a poll if is fine to restitute Trump's twitter account.
Honestly, nothing value was lost because most of this employees were activist ... and the very sheer irony of people praising corporations for do the very thing they accuse Elon to do.

I think you mean the employees were fired and in one case Elon fired a guy on Twitter for correcting Elon's very incorrect statement that he got off Google. He's basically doing the same thing he did when he was in charge of PayPal and that was to make incredibly terrible decisions until he can get someone else to take the position from him
Hah, so far most people who left twitter screaming are people who made twitter terrible place.
And on firing, I do support decision to not keep influencers and moderators who manipulate trending on payroll. That does not change fact on that I do not think Musk as good person, there are not good billionaires. You don't get rich by being nice person.
Although I am not entirely sure about current trend of impersonating with verified and other hijinx, even though they are funny.
Twitter dying is the best thing to happen to that toxic website. Most of those fired 'employees' were activists, many of them work from home and their 'work' consist of yoga and snack breaks. Twitter stopped being a social media the moment ppl let the politicians take over it and turn it into a tool for votes and propaganda. Yea, it suxs for the artists that uses it to promote their art but if you dont put it the work to protect the integrity of the site, we dont deserve to use it.
It feels to me that people who complain about it being a cesspool either look for toxic content themselves or choose their followed profiles poorly. Mine has mostly Japanese artists, most of which I first found on Danbooru and then followed to source. It's significantly more usable than Pixiv and orders of magnitude more useful than Facebook or Instagram.
While I see Musk's measures as flashy, ruthless and somewhat naive, I'll be gladly surprised if those changes manage to keep Twitter alive and thriving in the future.

And fuck everyone who uses Twitter but isn't a fuckhead about it, am I right? Better save up all the Daily Life in Leyvat that wasn't uploaded just yet just in case. Also the engineer that Elon tried to sass but got demolished by maybe was an activist, but that doesn't justify firing him just because he knows his job better than an armchair expert do. Ultimately, people are hired for what they do, not what they are, and as long as they can work, they should be able to stay.
Every one freaking out over Twitter will slowly walk back to it as they see it return to the fun stuff it once had. It's been a one sided political bull horn for too long.
All the people he is firing are worthless dead weight and people who will actively undermine him. Have you seen the tiktok vids the twitter employees made of their "work day" before Elon got it? It's was an elite day spa life style there! Yoga rooms, Wine on tap, free $400 worth of meals a day!?! 10 managers for every coder!

The problem is trust here. So many of the old employees openly hate the new boss and you can bet they will undermine and/or sabotage him in what ever he wants to do. You can't keep guys like them on when they have openly said they hate your guts to you and everyone else.
Also, most of those engineers are likely sub par skilled anyway. Elon can find better skilled works elsewhere.

Do you have a single proof to back that up or is it a "gut feeling"?

While i agree, i personally find twitter's search systems to be unreliable at best or complete useless at worst, even the advanced search tends to not be able to find stuff.....

Simple observation. How long did it take for them to increase letter count usage? The edit feature that took YEARS AND YEARS to bring out? The Vine option worked, why did they take it away? Seeing Elon is going to bring that back is a good thing. Not fixing the search system by now is a poor showing. They had so much effort put into content control then they ever did into fixing and improving the code.
Twitter is not some small company. They had Hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars in their budget to fix this quickly and smoothly. They didn't do it. Either they were not serious about improving their site or they suck at it. Either way, what Elon is doing to it will improve it more than the previous owners and workers ever did for it.

So no conclusive evidence that they were about to sabotage Elon, I see. Do you know that in civilized countries, firing someone for what they might do is illegal? Same than firing someone because you don't agree with their opinions.

That guy who "knows his job better" also wasn't doing his job. If you can precisely describe exactly what's wrong with your product, that you've been a lead developer on for 6 years, and you haven't done anything to fix it, and instead of offering solutions you try to clown on the guy who literally owns the company you work for where everyone in the world can see, you probably don't deserve that job.
If you've actually been following the updates on this, then you would know that most of the people being fired are people who haven't been doing any work for years. You have literally quoted the exact same Elon has said about his firings. He wants people who can and will actually do their jobs, not slacktivists who work two hours a week from home. Twitter had like 10 times the number of employees it actually needed, and most of them were being paid to do nothing.

Employees (that hadn't been fired yet) have literally stated on twitter they were going to make things as difficult for Elon as they could. Employees that had already been fired were making calls to action for the current staff to make whatever messes they could. He literally locked most of the staff out of the building because he couldn't trust they weren't going to break things.
Maybe actually keep up with the news if you're gonna discuss the topic?
And fuck everyone who uses Twitter but isn't a fuckhead about it, am I right?
Twitter is not the whole internet. Believe it or not, there was a time before Twitter existed and everyone managed to get by without it. Folks interested in the news were still able to keep up with current events, artists were still able to promote their work, people with shitty opinions were still able to scream into the void, and so on. If Twitter were to shut down tomorrow, the world would move on like nothing happened.
And besides, it's not like some new website wouldn't pop up to take Twitter's place. No social media service is irreplaceable. Just ask the folks at Myspace and Digg.

No shit Sherlock. Guess all the artists WILL be forced to move somewhere else, just as the picture said. Hope they all kept archives of their works and didn't delete them over time.
Even if YouTube dissapears something else will pop up, how is that different to Twitter? People did use Usenet back then to share messages and files. It's time for centralized services to dissapear and give born to more open source self hosted ones anyway. If a Metaverse exists, I want it to be more like OpenSim instead of Meta.

Elon literally called out those employees as incompetent
proceeded to make some technobabble nonsense about why those issues were happening
Got called out by an employee who then gave a solution to the issue
Elon fired him and says that wasn't the issue
Elon then takes fired employees solution and claims it as his own
He then enacts said solution in the most hamfisted way possible
2fa and bunch of other stuff end up breaking
Keep in mind that the reason that particular problem even happened was because Elon got rid of the department that handled those issues

The difference is that a lot of artists are exclusively on Twitter, and I don't know a single artist who keeps archives of ALL their works. The fact that Twitter is a piece of shit to find picture in, or that some guy claimed to have seen posts of employees ready to sabotage Musk ultimately don't matter, what matters is that if Twitter goes down, we might lose a lot of pictures that went unnoticed. And Twitter has a big advantage : it's used by Westerners and Easterns whole, so it's really handy to find artists, and if it goes down, I'll lose contact with a lot of friends, since LINE isn't a thing here.
EDIT : and another grievance about Twitter, it converts all uploaded pictures terribly.
Yeah, that is a problem but also a lesson for all people: do not let corporations preserve your own work for you. I kind of miss the times small artists shared their works on blogs and GeoCities style pages. I fear for the day Internet Archive dissapears, that day we will be doomed for real.
Pretty sure westoids are the only ones who care about this whole thing lmao Mostly follow a few artists on twitter who don't post on pixiv much (or at all), and I don't see them crying.

"westoid" cope and Seethe
The west truly lives rent free in your head

Who said it was specifically Japan? Who said anything about a country without problems? It seems to me like you are, exactly, what this person said. A "Westoid", someone that is not just a Westerner, not some innocent civilian, but the kind of Nationalistic bastard that beats up people because the government says their country is bad. The kind of idiot that believes the lies told about other countries and lives based on those lies. The kind of person that assumes things and insults others without using their brain at all.
Here we are, 4 months later and Twitter is still here. Arguably stronger than before Elon bought it. All the people who bailed out have come back, the bots are being cleaned out and a LOT of secrets the previous owners tried to hide are coming to light.

Welp, at the end of the day, I got surprised, but for all the wrong reasons.
