Isn't sad that damage CGs nowdays are relatively tame now.
Not only that but I also find it more sad that Yoshinori's character designs for KC has become relatively tame now, because back when they weren't such designs were also more creative with the historical references and the ship part of shipgirls. And then it also seems like half of the damage CGs these days are lazy which is almost guaranteed to be tame but even when excluding the lazy ones CGs have gotten more tame than they used to be. At least there's still Zeco with the balance of creativity and fanservice that Yoshinori used to do & as Mithiwithi mentioned Jiji with the lewd loli destroyers and having everyone braless and with exposed armpits...

In terms of character design KC has reach a new status as a shipgirl game that i can enjoy and share comfortably with people that cares about ww2 naval history and somehow develop an interest in the potential and concept of kanmusus as a medium and isnt like it dropped the sex appeal is just more hidden and i see that as a win in the long run. Is pretty clear in the way C2staff promotes the shipgirls in their live events with tamed designs even the race queens follow this pattern if you compare them to AL's race queens.
