This might be an interesting battle in terms of power, but it'd be jaw dropping in terms of ego.

yeah, It's also weird considering that they are both based on the same character that of whose story is all about an almighty half-god tyrant who learns about the importance of friendship, dropping his almighty ego, opening his heart etc.. So even when they are both based on Gil supposedly after the events in the actual legend, they still have the personality of him before it had even taken place.
That's pretty much how FFV Gilgamesh's story goes in the game, but his character development didn't stick nearly as well as his hamminess in the crossovers...
