You know, while I can appreciate bringing back previously playable characters, I feel like it's a bit late in the subseries (such as it is a subseries) to be building up the roster like this. After dropping most of the playable characters between SWR and HM, is the intention to do that again after this game? Or was HM considered a soft reboot of the fighting games, and they'll continue to grow from here?

HM was certainly a "soft reboot". The mechanics are just different.
