If this weren't Masara, I'd say that Akashi would accept (or even just ask him out, herself,) out of growing closer to him (if only out of some maternal instinct to protect the hapless bumbler) over the course of this whole thing. Sheer buildup about their relationship and screentime basically guarantee they wind up together in most narratives.
This being Masara, however, I'm about 67% expecting a gag ending that subverts those expectations.
