Baguette is so delicious that Vietnamese adopted it and made the best sandwich ever with it.
Just don't leave it standing until the next day. Otherwise it becomes hard enough to qualify as a blunt weapon.
(I cheat by freezing leftover baguette, if I have enough space in the freezer. Could keep for weeks to months without going too stale after defrosting.)
The premade ones at the vietnamese markets are gross as shit. Im vietbamese.
Although it could be just me hating whatever the meat is in the sandwiches
There is one shop in Paris Chinatown that sells vietnamese sandwiches so delicious that even over 25 years after its opening, its still in business. The queue in this place is like very long.

Though they have a little thing that differ from the Banh Mi in Vietnam and here in France. Might be the condiment they put inside. But I like to eat both.

If it's the baguette alone, yep. In the case of the Banh Mi which have acidic vegetables like carrots, leaving too long would make the whole baguette soggy. I had once, when going to a video game event, brought one in the morning then at lunch, the Banh Mi was soggy that even the paper bag was wet (and so does my backpack). Which is why, if it's not to consume immediately, it is preferable to ask to separate the acidic vegetables from the sandwich so we can put them ourselves whenever we want and how much we like.

It's the small sandwich shop at the left of Tang Frères at avenue d'Ivry. My parents always purchased sandwiches there when I was a child and I do when I go to Paris, usually in my shopping trips for asian groceries. IIRC, the cheapest goes for 3.50 euros and the most is 4.20 euros. And if there is any vegan, you can have one with tofu instead.

I'll make sure to go try it out when I travel to Paris one day.

Oh, that place. I never tried it but I know which one you're talking about. That's not the one I usually go but I will try it. (BTW, I'm living not far from there so I know that district).
