The Lexington-class was armed at the beggining of WWII with 4x2 20.3 cm(8 inch) guns in front and back of her superstructure, thus the medium range shown in the game (same as Graf).
After the refit in 1942-43, Saratoga change those guns for the DP 5 inch guns in 4x2 turrets, thus changing her range from medium to short, after remodel. The night bombing capability is unknown to me right now.
Curiosly, Akagi and Kaga had 20 cm guns too (Akagi 6x1, Kaga 10x1) but those were very wet mounts (very close to the waterline) and were scheduled to be removed after the battle of Midway (some people says Kaga got hers removed before the battle).
Lexington got sunk with her 20cm guns, so probably her remodel would require a blueprint (she too was scheduled for that refit after Midway).
The US removed the red dot from their roundels in 1942 after too many gunners shot at US aircraft thinking they were Japanese (red dot equal Jap equal kill).
Saratoga got night fighters by the end of 1944 and joined Enterprise as the American Night Carriers (CV(N)-3 and CV(N)-6). USS Ranger (CV-4) was transferred to the Pacific also to be a night carrier, but was only used in training as by the time she was ready the war was basically over so she never went past Hawaii, instead her planes and pilots went to Enterprise and Saratoga.

Carriers shooting at night isn't very effective anyway (sorry Graf). Or shooting at all, for carriers, since it's mostly only a last resort. I was talking about night radar attacks.
