Low maintenance. High durability. Protects your eyes. Looks damn good on everyone. Why do people not use glasses?
Personally I wear contacts because my glasses are uncomfortable to my nose & ears. Then again, maybe I'm just too cheap to get a better pair of glasses.

I like glasses so I don't have to have a stable supply of contacts like my sister. 1 pair(well I have but the 2nd is a backup cause I hate my money). 1 pair will last me a few years and then I can maybe get a "new face" if i want after some years later.

Even a cheap pair can be adjusted to better fit. I imagine most eye-clinics will give an adjustment free of charge.
Real glasses though will last a person for years. Mine are almost 8 years old now and still in good shape, despite having the frames twisted, broken, the lens being popped out of place. Scratches are minimal and even if I might be due to have my eyes examined again, I have no problem seeing.
The only reason the glasses should be uncomfortable despite getting a free adjustment would be if your skin is having some sort of adverse reaction to the material the glasses are made from.
My little sister has to use plastic(or just non metal) glasses since metal parts seem to give a bad reaction to her skin.
As long as you aren't sitting or throwing your glasses around, paying 200-300$ for glasses should be a 1 time deal. That is ofcourse a very rough estimate and I can't account for whatever insurance other people are using.
At least untill you want to buy new glasses to change up your look if you so desire.
